Job summary

Deaconess Health System in Illinois is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our imaging team on a full-time weekend schedule. You will perform MRI examinations, prepare patients, and deliver high-quality images that aid radiologists in diagnosis.

We welcome new graduates and experienced technologists alike. ARRT and MRI certifications are required, with Illinois IEMA within six months and AHA/BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification required.
• MRI Certification required.
• Illinois State IEMA Certification required within six months of hire.
• AHA or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations with precision and attention to detail.
• Prepare and position patients to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal image quality.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions to create a positive experience.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to patient needs.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MRI equipment according to established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately document patient information and imaging records.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and health care professionals to support patient care.

Certifications & Licensure:

• ARRT Certification required.
• MRI Certification required.
• Illinois State IEMA Certification required within six months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire.
