As an MRI Tech, you will supervise and perform MRI procedures, ensuring safety and competency in the process. Required qualifications include a degree from an accredited Medical Imaging program, licensing as a Radiologic Technologist, and ARRT registration. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.

Job Overview

As an MRI Tech, you would be responsible for supervising and performing procedures in the ER, Surgical Suite, Nursing Units, Main Department, and Ancillary Departments. IV administration of contrast is required.

Performs MRI scanning and procedures at an appropriate level of competency.

Collects and researches data needed to perform MRI safely.

Performs IV injections using safe sterile technique.

May be assigned to other modalities for assistance as needed, including, but not limited to, CT and Diagnostic.

Required Certifications / Licenses

Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging program.

Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state in which you will practice.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist prior to, or within 6 months of hire – MRI Credentials preferred.

Advanced registry in MRI is required within eighteen (18) months of hire.
