What you'll be doing day to day
As a Food Service Team Member ensuring operational excellence of IKEA Food, you will:
- Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept, adhering to food handling, health, and sustainability standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, following cash handling policies.
- Maintain equipment operation through adherence to operating guidelines, troubleshooting breakdowns, and conducting preventive and cleaning maintenance.
- Keep dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and trays clean and stocked, complying with Food Safety Standards.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
- Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitation of sampling equipment and areas in the Swedish Food Market.
- Communicate prices accurately and timely across all food solutions, including digital platforms, menu boards, and shelf tags.
- Manage supply rotation and stock levels, following FIFO, expiration dates, and sustainability standards, and implement IKEA Food policies for receiving goods and inventory management.
- Follow safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, reporting concerns promptly.
- Contribute to fostering a strong IKEA culture that embraces diversity among co-workers and customers.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of related experience.
Experience in high-volume customer-facing environments preferred.
Experience in retail merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment, as per local jurisdiction.

The pay range is $17.24 to $24.58.
