Job summary

Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Web Hosting Infrastructure Engineer to manage migrations and lifecycle of enterprise websites hosted on Microsoft web platform in Milwaukee. This contract role focuses on executing migrations, supporting IIS-hosted apps, DNS cutovers, and keeping web infrastructure compliant.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in IIS hosting, Windows Server migrations, PowerShell expertise, and familiarity with Active Directory and load balancing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft IIS-hosted websites and applications.
• Experience with server, website, or application migrations.
• Strong PowerShell experience.
• Knowledge of DNS, web hosting, and load-balancing concepts.
• Experience with Active Directory, service accounts, and Windows authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established procedures with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute website and application migrations from Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot IIS-hosted websites and applications.
• Run and support PowerShell scripts and Ansible workflows.
• Coordinate DNS updates and application cutovers.
• Support load-balancing configurations and traffic migrations.
• Validate application functionality before and after migrations.
• Work with Active Directory, service accounts, and authentication requirements.
• Document migration activities, issues, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, application owners, and testing teams.
