We're looking for a Ignition SCADA Engineer to join our growing team. Description

We are looking for an Automation, SCADA specialist to work directly with a midstream oil and gas company in Texas. The candidate will support the day-to-day operational needs of a newly implemented Ignition SCADA system, ensuring smooth functionality and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include maintaining the system, responding to client requests, and working with field devices such as RTUs and PLCs. The role also involves interacting with remote telemetry networks and various industrial protocols, providing a hands-on opportunity to grow within the industrial automation and SCADA space.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and implement SCADA and IIoT solutions for oil & gas clients using Ignition and MQTT.

- Lead technical projects from requirements gathering through deployment and commissioning.

- Collaborate with a remote-first team, communicating openly and proactively.

- Push the boundaries of technology—experiment, innovate, and share your insights.

- Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of feedback and learning.

- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver superior solutions.

Requirements

- 2-5+ years of experience in industrial automation, ideally in the oil & gas sector.

- Proven hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA, MQTT, and edge computing architectures.

- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, SQL, or similar).

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- A track record of leadership, independent thinking, and professional growth.

- Ignition Core certification and experience with Cirrus Link MQTT modules are strong assets.
