IIB Developer Consultant for a Direct NYC-Based Banking Client

Work Schedule: Remote

Job Description

A leading bank is seeking an IIB developer with proven hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (ACE).

The role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, configuring, and analyzing technical and non-technical solutions to meet enterprise service needs.

Responsibilities include development tasks such as message extraction and transfer, transformation, validation, cleansing, and preparation for transport between systems.

Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and debugging as necessary.

Collaborate closely with infrastructure admins, application owners, and business users to develop, support, and maintain current and new message flows, along with other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• 8-9 years of hands-on overall development experience, with over 4-5 years specifically with IBM Integration Broker, preferably ACE (v12).
• Experience working with multiple mapping techniques in IIB (Mapper, ESQL, Java nodes).
• Experience in IIB event monitoring, monitoring tools, and notifications.
• Experience implementing MQ, MQ-MFT, File, DB-based interfaces, Pub/Sub model, and SFTP file transfers using IIB.
• Experience in implementing Global Cache, exception handling, and logging frameworks.
• Experience testing interfaces with built-in IIB testing, RFHUTIL, and other tools.
• Knowledge of working with multiple data formats such as XML and Fixed Length.
• Experience integrating with databases using ESQL, Java, and mapper nodes.
• Experience writing rules for data interchange in ESQL.
• Expert-level knowledge of IIB, MQ, and related products is essential.
• Ability to set up flow patterns/templates and develop reusable flows and sub-flows.
• Experience with continuous integration of IIB flows using Jenkins or other tools is a plus.
• Experience with automatic deployment using Urban Code Deploy or similar tools is an added advantage.
• Some experience working on multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix variants, AS400).
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with peers, management, clients, and partners.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
