Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Developer Consultant.
Fully Remote Role on EST
Consulting position, initial term is 6 months with possible extensions and option to hire.
Hourly rate will be determined based on experience.

Job Description
A leading bank seeks an IIB developer with proven hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (ACE). Responsibilities include designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, configuring, and analyzing technical and non-technical solutions to meet enterprise service needs. Tasks involve message extraction and transfer, transformation, validation, cleansing, and preparation for transport between systems. The role requires troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, and close collaboration with infrastructure admins, application owners, and business users to develop and support message flows.
Requirements:
- 8-9 years of overall development experience, with 4-5 years specifically with IBM Integration Broker, preferably ACE (v12).
- Experience with multiple mapping techniques in IIB (Mapper, ESQL, Java nodes).
- Experience with IIB Event monitoring, monitoring tools, and notifications.
- Experience implementing MQ, MQ-MFT, File, DB-based interfaces, Pub/Sub model, and SFTP file transfers using IIB.
- Experience with Global cache, exception handling, and logging frameworks.
- Experience testing interfaces with built-in IIB testing tools, RFHUTIL, etc.
- Knowledge of working with multiple data formats, including XML and fixed-length formats.
- Experience integrating with databases using ESQL, Java, and mapper nodes.
- Ability to write data interchange rules in ESQL.
- Expertise in IIB, MQ, and related products.
- Experience setting up flow patterns/templates and developing reusable flows and sub-flows.
- Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Experience with automatic deployment tools such as Urban Code Deploy is advantageous.
- Some experience working on multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix, AS400).
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with peers, management, clients, and partners.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
