Job Duties
  • Manage all kitchen activities, including food preparation, production, and staff training.
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and profitability of food production.
  • Supervise and inspect kitchen equipment regularly for cleanliness, sanitation, and proper functioning.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and timely service.
  • Adhere to all food quality, preparation, recipe, and presentation standards as per specifications.
  • Oversee holding, storage, stocking, and food rotation, ensuring sanitation standards are met.
  • Train kitchen staff in cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Coordinate with Food and Beverage Director, Sales and Catering Team, and Banquet Captain for event execution.
  • Prepare and serve food for events with 400+ attendees.
  • Attend mandatory meetings related to food and beverage.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Director as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; culinary training or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of cooking experience in a hotel or large catering/event venue.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen required.
  • Effective communication skills with managers, staff, and guests.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification.
  • Ability to perform calculations and math functions relevant to the role.
  • Flexible scheduling to meet hotel demands.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality willing to engage with guests.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed.
  • Clean background check and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including Turbo Chef.
  • Ability to handle feedback constructively.
  • Knowledge of PosiTouch system is highly desired.
