Job summary

Ravenwood Health in Ohio is hiring a full-time Intensive Home Based Therapist (IHBT) to serve children and families in home, school, and community settings. You will deliver diagnostic assessments, counseling, and crisis intervention within a wraparound care model.

The role emphasizes skills in communication, crisis management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, with supervision and ongoing professional development provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current social work license (LSW/MSW/LISW) or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage crises
• Knowledge of risk issues and de-escalation techniques
• Must be able to pass a background check and drive as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family counseling, diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention and consultation to children and families in home/school settings
• Deliver IHBT services within a wraparound, strengths-based model with inter-disciplinary collaboration

Intensive Home-Based Therapy serves individuals with complex behavioral health and multi-system needs within a holistic wraparound model of integrated healthcare.

Intensive Home-Based Therapist Job Duties:

• Provide individual and family counseling, diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention and consultation to children, youth, and their families.
• These services are provided in the home, school and natural environment of the child and family. IHBT services support a resiliency, strengths-based approach emphasizing parent and professional partnerships.
• The therapist will receive training specifically related to treating children and families within a structured IHBT format and works as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently.
• Knowledge of risk issues and verbal de-escalation abilities, as well as consultation options.
• Ability to make decisions and mobilize resources quickly and effectively in an emergency
• Demonstrates professionalism with related professionals both inside/outside of the agency

Education and Experience:

• LSW: Licensed Social Worker
• MSW: Master Social Worker
• LISW: Licensed Independent Social Worker
• LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor
• LPCC: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
• SWT: Social Work Trainee
• CT: Counselor Trainee
• Must have a valid Driver License
• Must be able to pass a background check
