Job summary

Newell Brands in Maryville, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer to integrate and optimize the Ignition MES/SCADA system across our manufacturing floor. You will collect, analyze, and report data to identify improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional improvement projects.

The role requires hands-on data visualization, collaboration with IT and facilities teams, and driving the adoption of the Ignition platform to support Smart Factory initiatives at the Maryville

Qualifications

• Interest in manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
• Experience with MES plant manufacturing systems.
• Strong desire to grow and continue learning.
• Experience with data in Excel and/or PowerBi.
• Machine PLC setup and programming experience.
• Ignition MES by Inductive Automation platform preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage data visualization across the manufacturing floor.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure uptime and response speed.
• Validate machine connection to data with facilities and PLC technicians.
• Build relationships with operators and team leads to improve Ignition MES/SCADA.
• Drive adoption of Ignition system across the floor.
• Develop new ideas for automated data collection to replace manual input.
• Use Ignition data to improve machine performance and reduce defects.
• Maintain data for tracking OEE across the plant.
• Create report templates in Excel and PowerBi for easy analysis.
• Test new Ignition MES features and provide feedback.
• Continuously improve Ignition MES/SCADA for Smart Factory initiatives.
• Help lead digital transformation at the Maryville plant.
