Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join the Ignite Innovator Program at the Technology and Engineering Strategic Delivery Center in Blacksburg, VA.

The two-year program provides hands-on training, exposure to missions across national security, and a path to Peraton mission sector programs. As an Ignite Innovator, you will work in an Agile team, contribute to software design, development, and testing across domains such as cybersecurity and cloud.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related field.
• 0-2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience programming in Java, or a similar language, with a solid OO foundation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies.
• Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, team-player.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
