Regis Jesuit High School is seeking anIgnatian Immersion & Solidarity Outreach Coordinator to begin in the 2025-2026 school year.

This position is part of the Ignatian Service Immersion office and reports directly to the Director of Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity. It is a .8 position, with .2 teaching to combine as a full-time faculty position.The minimum salary for the Coordinator portion of the position is $44,000,with years ofexperience taken into consideration.The additional teaching portion of the salary (.2)will be placed on the25-26 faculty salary scale (between $10,000 - $20,000 depending on education level and years of experience). The IIS Outreach Coordinator implements, coordinates, and assesses all IIS programs for Regis Jesuit students throughout their four years of high school, working primarily with students in their junior year. The Outreach Coordinator is one of a three-person team and is primarily responsible for building and maintaining healthy community partnerships currently consisting of over 100 local nonprofits and schools serving vulnerable populations. Through community engagement and service immersion formation, this position works with Regis Jesuit students, staff, and parents to address present and future global economic, ecological, and human rights challenges in a constructive and creative manner utilizing Catholic social teaching, the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preferences, and the five pillars of the Graduate at Graduation.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists the Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity Director in coordinating all immersion programming at Regis Jesuit High School.
  • Oversees 11th grade IIS formation. Approves/declines student volunteer logs according to the expectations outlined in the student handbook and in accordance with our mission.
  • Plans and implements the junior two-week immersion program (Feb-March) in which all juniors volunteer full-time with one of our local community partners. This includes training community partners, juniors, and faculty supervisors to ensure a safe, equitable and formative immersion experience for all.
  • Visits and participates in various volunteer sites to support their work and maintain good relationships between the school and community partners.
  • Keeps accurate and updated catalogued data of student immersion participation, community partnerships, opportunities, and costs.
  • Curates mission-aligned opportunities and advertises them with the broader Regis Jesuit community.
  • Oversees communication efforts of the IIS department in the form of daily announcements, Red and White, updating the IIS group page, Vivi announcements, etc. to promote IIS programs & opportunities.
  • Directs/chaperones at least one senior immersion trip each academic year, working in collaboration with the Director of IIS to ensure that the trips we lead as an IIS team encompass the qualities/values we hope all immersion trips have.
Student Formation Responsibilities:
  • Works with IIS team and Regis Jesuit staff to create an extensive ongoing formation process for students, parents, and staff participating in immersions.
  • Ensures and communicates clear safety precautions and health protocols for all student service immersion experiences gaining a commitment from the students to abide by these, providing additional training as needed before embarking.
  • Communicates & articulates the IIS vision, mission and criteria in a way that animates our values and invites our community to embrace them in their day-to-day lives.
  • Facilitates thoughtful discernment for students as they consider where/how to fulfill their IIS requirements, nudging them to be open to growth and to see God in the “least of these” (Mt 25).
  • Works with various Regis Jesuit departments/offices to promote, support, and co-sponsor IIS student programming and formation at Regis Jesuit with community constituents involved; this could include activities, athletics, mission team, formation team, and advancement.
  • Other assignments as assigned by the Director of Ignatian Service and Immersion.
Community Formation and Impact Responsibilities:
  • In collaboration with the Director of Ignatian Immersion & Solidarity, seeks innovative ways to share the IIS vision & mission with the wider RJHS community. This could be in the form of community events, guest speakers, club/sport activities, partnership with academic courses, social media & marketing promotions, etc.
  • Explores and seeks to connect Ignatian Service Immersion with the four Apostolic Preferences in deeper intentional ways.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Required/Preferred Skills)

Preferred:

  • Experience in Catholic, Jesuit Education and familiarity with the Jesuit Mission.
  • Experience with multi-day and overnight service-learning experiences with Secondary Education Students.

Required:

  • Experience with service-learning and community engagement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with students, parents, and administration.
