Job summary

Think Consulting is seeking an IFS Analyst for a major client in the United States to own Tier 1/2 support, configure Finance, Projects, FSM, and HR modules, and build scalable SOPs that grow internal capability.

You'll collaborate with the IFS Architect and BI leadership to validate patches, perform regression testing, and expand your footprint across IFS functional areas within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience across Finance and FSM modules.
• Experience with IFS Cloud preferred; on-prem backgrounds welcomed.
• Proficient in JIRA for ticketing and sprint ceremonies.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Think Consulting is a national technology and operations consulting firm partnering with organizations to build the people, process, and technical capability behind their growth. We've been engaged by Our Client which runs a consolidated IT function supporting a portfolio of fast-growing MEP contractors to identify an IFS Analyst who is hungry to go deep on a mission-critical platform, grow into broader configuration and ownership work, and become the person Finance, Operations, and IT call when something doesn't look right in IFS.

About the Role

IFS Cloud is the operational backbone at Our Client's flagship brand. This role is the first line of functional expertise inside the IFS platform handling the support queue, digging into configuration issues, and building the documentation and SOPs that scale internal capability over time.

What You'll Do

• Own the Tier 1 and Tier 2 IFS support queue end-to-end triage tickets, resolve functional issues, escalated with full context, and close the loop with end users.
• Support functional configuration work across Finance, Projects, Field Service Management (FSM), and HR modules learning from the IFS Architect and progressively taking on broader scope.
• Write and maintain SOPs, end-user training guides, and configuration documentation so institutional knowledge lives with the organization, not in a consultant's head.
• Validate and document patch-dependent backlog items post go-live and assist with regression testing during future IFS upgrade cycles.
• Manage and update issues in JIRA keeping tickets accurate, prioritized, and linked to business impact so the backlog reflects reality.
• Assist with Power BI dashboard support and data validation, confirming IFS data flows correctly into reporting layers.
• Participate in SteerCo sprint reviews and contribute to backlog grooming sessions with the IFS Architect and business stakeholders.
• Support user onboarding and change management as new capabilities, upgrades, or SOPs roll out.

What Success Looks Like

• The Tier 1/Tier 2 support queue runs smoothly tickets are resolved, documented, and closed without constant escalation to the Architect.
• Finance, Project Managers, and Field Service leads trust you to answer their IFS questions accurately and quickly.
• Every configuration change and SOP you write is documented the IFS knowledge base grows with every sprint.
• You actively expand your functional footprint across modules by month 12, you're owning configuration work in at least two IFS functional areas.
• Upgrade regression testing is organized, thorough, and delivered on schedule.

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience, with working knowledge across Finance, Projects, and/or Field Service Management (FSM) modules.
• Experience with IFS Cloud preferred; candidates with strong IFS on-premises backgrounds who are motivated to move to cloud will be considered.
• Comfortable working in JIRA creating tickets, updating statuses, linking issues, and contributing to sprint ceremonies.
• Strong analytical mindset: you investigate before you and document what you find before you close a ticket.
• Solid written communication skills you can write an SOP that a non-technical end user will actually follow.
• Familiarity with Power BI as a reporting consumer or builder is a plus.
• Experience supporting ERP users in a construction, MEP, field service, or project-driven business is a meaningful differentiator.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
