Job summary

Adastra is seeking an IFS Business Systems Developer to join our Houston-based ERP team in a hybrid role. You will develop and optimize IFS Cloud solutions, build integrations using REST APIs, and create dashboards and reports to support business users.

You will work hands-on with IFS Developer Studio and Aurena, translating operational needs into scalable technical solutions across finance, supply chain, projects, and HR modules.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on programming within IFS Cloud; ~3 years preferred.
• Hands-on experience with IFS Developer Studio.
• Experience developing within IFS Aurena.
• Experience building IFS integrations using REST APIs, Web Services or middleware.
• Experience creating Quick Reports and lobbies.
• Understanding of ERP workflows and business processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a hybrid Houston environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure and enhance IFS Cloud solutions.

IFS Business Systems Developer | Direct Hire

Location: Houston, TX (hybrid)

We are working with a rapidly growing organization looking to add an IFS Business Systems Developer to its internal ERP team.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building, developing and improving IFS rather than simply supporting it. You’ll work in an IFS Cloud 25R1 environment and have direct involvement in development, integrations, automation, reporting and ongoing ERP optimization.

You’ll join a collaborative internal Business Systems team and work closely with business users, analysts and leadership to turn operational requirements into practical technical solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, configure and enhance solutions within IFS Cloud.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code, custom events, workflows and business logic.
• Work hands-on with IFS Developer Studio and the IFS Aurena development environment.
• Configure and customize IFS pages, functionality and user experiences.
• Build and maintain integrations between IFS and external applications using REST APIs, Web Services and middleware.
• Develop Python-based automations for importing, exporting and manipulating data through APIs.
• Create and maintain Quick Reports, lobbies and dashboards.
• Support development of custom full-stack web applications.
• Work with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and identify root causes.
• Participate in IFS upgrades, patches, testing and enhancement releases.
• Support unit testing, integration testing and UAT.
• Document technical solutions, development changes and system processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation and the overall user experience.

The current environment is IFS Cloud 25R1, with continued investment in integrations, automation, reporting, custom development and ERP optimization.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of hands-on programming/development experience within IFS Cloud; approximately 3 years is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with IFS Developer Studio.
• Experience developing/customizing within IFS Aurena.
• Experience building IFS integrations using REST APIs, Web Services and/or middleware.
• Experience creating Quick Reports and lobbies.
• Understanding of ERP workflows and business processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business users.
• Ability to work within a hybrid environment in Houston.

Nice to Have

• Python development and process automation experience.
• Experience with Supply Chain, Finance and/or Field Service processes.
• Experience supporting global or multi-site IFS environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance and ERP access controls.
