Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC seeks an H145 IFR/NVG Captain to lead life‑saving missions in US helicopter air ambulance operations from Cleveland, OH. This full‑time role involves a 7/7 day/night rotation, line-pilot duties per GOM/CAMTS, and coordination with customers for loading patients and equipment.

Requirements include Commercial and Instrument ratings, First Class Medical, 2,000+ total flight hours (1,500+ helicopter, 1,000 PIC, 500 turbine), NVG/night hours, and a 235 lb weight limit.

Qualifications

• Hold Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
• Must have First Class Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours, including 1,500 helicopter hours.
• 1,000 PIC helicopter hours; 500 turbine helicopter hours.
• Night operations: 100 hours unaided or 50 NVG with 100 hours unaided.
• Weight limit: 235 lbs or less.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Pass pre-placement physical, functional capacity, drug and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an H145 IFR/NVG Captain in a two-pilot crew for helicopter air ambulance operations.
• Perform line-pilot duties per the GOM and CAMTS guidelines.
• Coordinate with customers and assist with loading patients and equipment.
• Support safety programs and community outreach initiatives.
