Job summary

System One seeks an IFC Certified Firestop Inspector for a Delta, Utah project. The role involves inspecting firestop systems on a large industrial construction site, ensuring compliance with designs, codes, and IFC requirements. The position offers overtime and competitive pay with a $160/day per diem.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, coordinating with contractors and management, and maintaining safe, compliant installations across penetrations and joints on the site.

Qualifications

• Current IFC Firestop Inspector Certification is required.
• Experience inspecting firestop systems on commercial or industrial construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of firestop systems, tested assemblies, and applicable building and fire codes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work 60+ hours per week, including overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installed firestop systems to verify compliance with approved designs, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building and fire codes.
• Perform inspections of penetrations, joints, and fire-resistance-rated assemblies throughout the project.
• Document inspection findings and maintain accurate reports and records.
• Identify deficiencies and work with contractors to ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, and quality control personnel to maintain project compliance.
• Verify firestop materials are installed in accordance with tested and listed systems.
• Maintain compliance with IFC requirements, project specifications, and site safety standards.
