Job summary

IET Corp is a leader in installing and integrating low-voltage systems. We seek an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications, security, and AV systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Applicants should have 2+ years in the field, cabling/testing skills, and the ability to read blueprints. Certifications such as BICSI/OSHA are a plus. IET offers competitive pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage systems, telecommunications, security, or AV.
• Knowledge of cable installation, termination, and testing.
• Experience with access control, intrusion detection, surveillance systems, or AV equipment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications such as BICSI, OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer-specific training are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot security, access control, CCTV, and AV systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
• Ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications.
• Work closely superintendent, leads and other team members to complete installations efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Provide basic customer training and support as needed.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in low voltage systems, telecommunications, security, or AV.
• Knowledge of cable installation, termination, and testing.
• Experience with access control, intrusion detection, surveillance systems, or AV equipment preferred.
