FullBloom is seeking an IEP Coordinator to partner with the Director and the resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The role includes mentoring classroom staff, onboarding new campus staff, and ensuring effective implementation of SESI’s instructional models.

You will use data to develop instructional plans, conduct assessments, and collaborate with families to drive student outcomes across academic, social, and behavioral areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and SPED cert or principal cert preferred.
• Experience with similar populations in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, required.
• Experience coaching staff and recording/analyzing data with Excel/Drive.

Responsabilités

• Develop transition planning and services (Indicator 13).
• Maintain IEP and student file databases and ensure ISBE compliance.
• Prepare and attend IEP meetings; monitor documentation and progress.
• Plan staff and parent education related to SPED programs.
• Maintain relationships with school district, parents and community.
• Provide crisis intervention at the school and organize professional development.
• Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay info to the resource team.

Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes.

The IEP Specialist will work closely with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The Instructional Specialist will act as a mentor and resource to the classroom staff and work closely with all departments on implanting the educational programs. In conjunction with the school Director, this position will be a key player in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and overseeing the onboarding of new staff.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with classroom staff to coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in regards to special education programs


• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding new campus staff members


• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13


• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database


• Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings, assure documentation is accurately completed prior to the meeting and provide on-going monitoring to ensure ISBE compliance of students’ IEPs


• Plan and implement staff and parent education relating to special education programs


• Maintains close working relationship with school district, parents and community


• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school


• Organize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings


• Actively participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree


• SPED Teacher Cert or Principal Cert


• Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred


• Experience working with staff in a coaching capacity


• Strong professional communication skills both oral and written


• Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drive
