Job summary

The FullBloom IEP Specialist will work with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program, acting as a mentor to classroom staff and collaborating with all departments on implementing the educational programs.

With a SPED teaching license and school-based experience, you will recruit and onboard new staff, maintain IEP databases, prepare meetings, and ensure ISBE compliance while engaging families and district partners to drive student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current SPED teaching license.
  • Experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Experience coaching staff.
  • Strong professional communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in special education programs.
  • Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new campus staff.
  • Develop and implement transition planning and services (Indicator 13).
  • Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
  • Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings and ensure documentation is complete and ISBE compliant.
  • Plan and deliver staff and parent education relating to special education programs.
  • Maintain close relationships with school districts, parents and community.
  • Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
  • Organize and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings.
  • Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.

Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes.

The IEP Specialist will work closely with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The Instructional Specialist will act as a mentor and resource to the classroom staff and work closely with all departments on implanting the educational programs. In conjunction with the school Director, this position will be a key player in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and overseeing the onboarding of new staff.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with classroom staff to coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in regards to special education programs
  • Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding new campus staff members
  • Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13
  • Maintain IEP database and student file scan database
  • Prepare and attend students’ IEP meetings, assure documentation is accurately completed prior to the meeting and provide on-going monitoring to ensure ISBE compliance of students’ IEPs
  • Plan and implement staff and parent education relating to special education programs
  • Maintains close working relationship with school district, parents and community
  • Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school
  • Organize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings
  • Actively participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team
Qualifications
  • Current SPED Teaching license
  • Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred
  • Experience working with staff in a coaching capacity
  • Strong professional communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drive
Posted Salary Range

USD $68,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
