Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking an IEP Specialist in the Philadelphia area to work with the Director and resource team. You will coordinate and evaluate the educational program, mentor classroom staff, and help recruit and onboard new staff.

You will manage IEP meetings, ensure documentation, develop transition planning, and collaborate with school staff, families, and districts to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong professional communication skills both oral and written.
• Experience working with staff in a coaching capacity.
• Ability to record and analyze data utilizing Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment in regards to special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding new campus staff members.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13.
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
• Prepare and attend students' IEP meetings, ensure documentation is completed and ISBE compliance is met.
• Plan and implement staff and parent education relating to special education programs.
• Maintain close working relationship with school district, parents and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
• Organize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings.
• Actively participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.

The IEP Specialist will work closely with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program. The Instructional Specialist will act as a mentor and resource to the classroom staff and work closely with all departments on implanting the educational programs. In conjunction with the school Director, this position will be a key player in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and overseeing the onboarding of new staff.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings
• Actively participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team

Qualifications

• Current SPED Teaching license
• Experience working with similar population in a school setting preferred
• Experience working with staff in a coaching capacity
• Strong professional communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to record and analyze data utilizing excel and google drive

Posted Salary Range

USD $68,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
