Job summary

Strategic Storage Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to support SPR equipment at the Plaquemine site in Louisiana. You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and test instrumentation and electrical systems including transmitters, pressure gauges, relays, circuit breakers, motors, and cabling, under Level of Repair guidelines.

Responsibilities include proper documentation, coordinating with subcontractors, and serving as an Emergency Response Team member

Qualifications

• Requires an associates degree or equivalent in Instrumentation/Electrical from an accredited trade school with 2 years of industrial instrumentation/electrical experience.
• Or a HS diploma/GED with 5 years of industrial instrumentation/electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, inspection, repair, and functional testing of site instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Prepare work documentation and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Respond as part of the Emergency Response Team during incidents and training.

Performs troubleshooting, work assessments, parts requirement determination, repair, inspection, and functional testing of all site instrumentation systems, and equipment such as transmitters, switches, pressure gauges, level indicators, hydraulic controls, site security system, and computerized control system authorized under Level of Repair (LOR) for Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) equipment.Performs troubleshooting, work assessments, parts requirement determination, repair, inspection, and functional testing of all site electrical systems, cathodic systems, and equipment such as contactors, protective relays, circuit breakers, disconnects, lighting, transformers, motors, motor operated valves and cabling systems authorized under Level of Repair (LOR) for Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) equipment.Ensures proper and timely preparation of all required work related documentation.Operates support equipment necessary to the proper and effective performance of assigned duties.Assists other departments and subcontractors in performance of preventive and corrective maintenance.Under general direction performs duties of Emergency Response Team (ERT) member during actual emergency incidents and training sessions, to include responses to fires, hazardous materials incidents, oil spills, and medical emergencies within the levels of training provided.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Must have an associates degree or equal in Instrumentation/ electrical from and accredited trade school and 2 years work experience in industrial instrumentation/ electrical OR a HS diploma/GED and 5 years experience in industrial instrumentation /electrical
