Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking a dynamic Identity Security Engineer to join the IT Cyber Security team.

You will architect, deploy, and operate secure identity and cloud infrastructure to align with business needs, elevating the security posture across identity systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. The role reports to the VP of Cyber Security & IT Operations and is a hybrid-remote position based in Raleigh, NC with an onsite requirement two days per week.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, cybersecurity or related field.
5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in identity security, IAM, or cloud security.
Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, MFA, CA, RBAC, PIM, and identity governance controls.
Knowledge of identity protocols: SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, LDAP, modern authentication.
Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, cloud networking, and hybrid-cloud operations.
VPNs, IPsec, SSL/TLS, LDAP, PKI.
IGA, PAM, access certification processes.
Automation and scripting: PowerShell, Python, APIs, IaC.
Familiarity with IAM, SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, CSPM/CNAPP, Firewalls, logging, Threat Intel.
Strong Linux and Windows support.
Regulatory frameworks: HIPAA, PCI, SOX, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, ITIL.
Self-motivated with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain IAM controls across cloud and hybrid environments.
Manage identity lifecycle for workforce, contractor, service, and privileged accounts.
Engineer and support SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, federation services, and Zero Trust controls.
Govern RBAC, entitlement management, privileged access, and access reviews for least-privilege enforcement.
Develop and automate identity governance processes, integrations, and access workflows (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, APIs).
Develop and maintain secure cloud processes with architects and system engineers.
Secure applications and computing environments across public, private, or hybrid clouds.
Protect patient data and applications per privacy and compliance frameworks.
Oversee security systems configuration to reduce enterprise risk.
Document improvements balancing risk and operations without harming efficiency.
Act as incident response contributor with reporting and collaboration with SOC/IR teams.
Participate in security project meetings and guide secure configurations.
Monitor and assess threats; propose tactical/strategic security initiatives.
Lead remediation after assessments to address weaknesses.
