Job summary

Thales in Austin, TX is seeking a Technical Project Manager for the Identity and Biometrics Solutions team. You will deliver solutions meeting external customer requirements and Thales commitments, coordinating internal and external teams.

The role oversees project activities from contract signature through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with security standards including PKI and encryption. Hybrid work arrangement in Austin is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
PMP certification with 5 years of experience in technical/engineering project management.
Experience communicating technical information to external customers and stakeholders.
Experience managing scope and requirements autonomously.
Proficient with PM tools Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Establish and update project requirements baseline with the Bid Manager and Capture Leader.
Establish and update the project execution baseline (structure, WBS, budgets, schedule, risks).
Lead customer interactions for the project.
Lead the project launch review with all stakeholders and associated documents.
Manage legal and contractual requirements including handling disputes.
Conduct regular progress reviews and report progress to senior management.
Close the project and share lessons learned across the organization.
Coordinate across teams for prioritization, resource allocation, risk identification and mitigation.
Monitor variances; prepare EAC review slides and present to management.
Present monthly project dashboards with project financials and KPIs.
