Job summary

Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking an Employment Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in gaining competitive employment. You will provide personalized job support, ensuring safety and fostering independence, while helping clients develop skills for success in the workplace.

The role involves transporting participants, building rapport, addressing social-emotional needs, and developing natural supports at worksites.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals who have an intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required.
• A commitment to safety and supporting individuals to develop independence in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Transports consumers to and from work.
• Develops rapport with individuals to foster a safe, supportive working relationship.
• Assists individuals to understand and overcome social and emotional issues and to build skills to reduce reliance on agency services.
• Helps individuals develop natural supports at their work sites.
