Job summary

Merakey is seeking an Employment Training Specialist to join our West Chester, PA team. The ETS will support competitive employment outcomes for adults with serious mental illness, providing vocational education, assessment, and liaison services to place and maintain employment in the community.

The ideal candidate will assess Consumer skills, secure suitable jobs, provide on-site training, and offer ongoing follow-up supports for both Consumers and employers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the IDD population is required.
• Must obtain ACRES certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide vocational education, assessment, support and liaison services for adults with serious mental illness to place and maintain competitive employment.
• Assess skills and desires of Consumers and secure compatible employment within the community.
• Provide on-site training and continuing follow-up supports for Consumers and employers.
