Job summary

Horizons Residential Care Center - Rural Hall, NC is seeking a compassionate Day Program Coordinator to oversee daily programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will ensure residents receive meaningful, person-centered activities aligned with MY Plans and quality-of-life goals.

The role supports daily schedules, assists Program Specialists, and collaborates with staff, families, and community partners to promote engagement, independence, and community

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the daily Day Program schedule.
• Ensure engaging, person-centered activities aligned with MY Plans.
• Support Program Specialists with individual and group activity planning.
• Monitor staff engagement and documentation of program goals.
• Maintain activity supplies, sensory tools, and treatment resources.
• Lead community outings, including transportation and support as needed.
• Assist with campus-wide events and special programming.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Provide coaching and guidance to staff on programming.
• Provide direct support and personal care when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
