Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring an IDD Nurse (LPN) in a Regular, full-time role in North Carolina. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to individuals with IDD, coordinate medical care, document care, and support on-site clinics under RN supervision.

Qualifications include graduating from an accredited LPN program and current unrestricted LPN license, CPR certification, and ability to work independently. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPR.
• Possess credentials required by Federal or State law.
• Must communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families.
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and prioritize tasks.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Observe, assist with gathering health data, and report health needs to the RN.
• Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported.
• Document nursing care provided.
• Assist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicable.
• Provide health-related trainings to unlicensed personnel per state regulations.
• Conduct medication pass observations to ensure staff competency.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure unlicensed staff perform health tasks per state regulations.
• Observe for and report abnormal health findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for people supported and develop community supports for health.
