Job summary

GoodLife Innovations in Wichita, KS is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our IDD Adult Day Services program. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with an hourly pay of $17.50 and a $250 hiring bonus.

You will lead center-based and community-based activities, transport clients in a company vehicle, and support participants in art classes, field trips, and daily companionship. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Previous caregiving, teaching, or direct support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Model a high level of energy, excellence, and accountability to staff.
• Assist persons served to increase independence, learn appropriate behaviors and skills, and maintain health/hygiene/grooming.
• Facilitate safe and fun community outings.
• Assist RISE Coordinator with administrative duties.

GoodLife Innovations serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of Residential and Day Services programs. Our RISE Day Services program provides meaningful activities and opportunities designed to enrich the lives of the persons we serve.

We are seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help lead center-based and community-based activities and support the persons we serve in this semi-independent program. In this role, you will assist with morning duties at a residential program and transport clients in a company vehicle to our Day Services clubhouse. While at the Day Services clubhouse, you will engage with and support clients in activities- including art classes, field trips, and more!- then transport clients back to their residential program. You will build lasting relationships through community outings, functional activities, and daily companionship!

Entry-Level Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• Must pass criminal background check
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Previous caregiving, teaching, or direct support experience, ideally in a day services, residential, or therapeutic setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with semi-independent adult clients
• Ability to model and teach appropriate client interactions
• Ability to give and accept feedback effectively

Some duties include:
