Job summary

Pacific Life is looking for an Identity and Access Management Engineer to lead Privileged Access Management initiatives and craft multi-year PAM roadmaps. You will architect, implement, and automate PAM solutions, working with CyberArk, Delinea, and Netwrix, while coordinating with IT leaders to ensure timely delivery and adoption.

Strong background in AD/Entra ID, Azure, Windows and Linux, plus experience with Agile methods and senior stakeholder communication, will help drive security maturity

Qualifications

  • 10+ years Information Security experience with PAM platforms.
  • Experience enabling/migrating and managing enterprise PAM platforms.
  • Automating PAM processes via out-of-box capabilities and custom connectors/APIs.
  • Knowledge of Just-in-Time Administration, Zero Trust and MFA.
  • Strong technical understanding of AD, Entra ID/Azure, Windows, Linux and networks.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to influence senior management in multi-cultural environments.
  • Ability to manage complex activities to short timescales.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Privileged Access Management Engineer and contribute to PAM strategy.
  • Architect, design, develop and troubleshoot PAM solutions with documentation and use cases.
  • Create automated, self-service, and resilient PAM capabilities.
  • Eliminate duplication, reduce complexity, and apply enterprise standards.
  • Define troubleshooting processes, standards and reporting from PAM platforms.
  • Identify and remediate risks and roadblocks for timely delivery.
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure roadmap understanding and successful implementation.
  • Lead change management, driving awareness, communications, and training.
  • Develop communications framework and metrics for stakeholders and IAM team.
  • Contribute to information security strategy and architecture.

We're actively seeking a talented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer who will be responsible for the delivery of Privileged Access Management (PAM) products and capabilities required to support the enterprise infrastructure and business line applications. In this role, you will assist with the development of the PAM strategy and corresponding roadmaps considering the corporate strategy, industry security trends and regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate and coordinate with IT leaders, technologists and support staff to ensure the requirements are clearly defined and established timelines are met. Finally, you will work to improve and track the maturity of the PAM products and capabilities showing increased adoption, speed to market, and resiliency.

How you'll help move us forward:
  • Serve as a Privileged Access Management Engineer
  • Contribute to a strategy and multi-year plan incorporating all parts of PAM: scan/discovery, remediation, lifecycle management, password rotation, password vaulting, just in time administration
  • Architect, design, develop and troubleshoot PAM solutions with the ability to provide technical and architectural design documentation, recommendations, specifications, use cases, requirements and test cases
  • Create solutions that drive full automation, self-service, and resiliency
  • Eliminate duplicative capabilities where possible, reduce complexities, and leverage enterprise standards and industry best practices
  • Define best practice and development of troubleshooting processes, methodologies, standards, alerts and reporting from PAM platform(s) to be leveraged for operational monitoring
  • Identify, manage and remediate existing or future risks, issues, and roadblocks for timely delivery
  • Partner with internal technical teams ensuring the strategy and roadmaps are well understood while monitoring successful implementation
  • Lead change, by acting as change agent, to use skills and expertise to inspire a shared purpose of intent, drive awareness, communications, documentation, and training
  • Develop and implement program communications framework and metrics to keep stakeholders, customers, and IAM colleagues well informed
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of information security strategy and architecture
The experience you bring:
  • 10+ years Information Security experience, with strong focus in PAM platforms (e.g. CyberArk, Delinea, Netwrix)
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in enabling new, migrating to, and/or managing an enterprise PAM platform based on best practices.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience with automating PAM processes by leveraging out of box capabilities and custom build connectors / API's.
  • Knowledge and experience of Just-in-Time Administration, Zero Trust, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
  • Strong technical understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure, Windows, Linux, networking, databases, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and corresponding Agile based tools
  • Proven ability to influence and gain trust at senior management levels in multi-cultural environments
  • Ability to manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales
  • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement
What makes you stand out:
  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA or other relevant security certifications and knowledge of ISO and NIST security standards preferred

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$167,670.00 - $204,930.00
