Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine (Infectious Disease) to provide evidence-based care for a broad range of infectious conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role encompasses clinical service, education of fellows, residents and students, and active participation in scholarly and quality-improvement initiatives.

The candidate will participate in inpatient rounds, maintain an ambulatory ID clinic, and engage in ongoing education

Qualifications

• Must be board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Infectious Diseases board certification within one year of appointment.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Kansas or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-patient attending consultation rounds in rotation with other faculty members.
• Maintain a weekly ID ambulatory clinic with potential populations.
• Provide medical student, resident, fellow education and supervision.
• Deliver education through conferences, journal clubs and antimicrobial stewardship activities.
• Contribute to scholarly activities, mentorship, and divisional initiatives.
