Legacy Residential Services LLC seeks Direct Support Professionals to join our team. You will work directly with individuals to enrich daily lives with compassionate, personalized support across various intellectual and developmental disability, mental health, and healthcare needs.

Support is provided in private residential home settings. You should be detail-oriented and committed to creating a healthy, safe environment meeting individuals' needs.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• 18 years of age minimum.
• DSP training is provided though prior experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Background check must be passed.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and related needs.
• Assist clients to maximize independence in daily living activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Assist clients with activities in home and community settings.
• Document daily activities and progress in shift logs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and transport to appointments when needed.
• Assist with housekeeping and cleaning as assigned.
• Follow County, State regulations and Company policies.

Job Summary

We are looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team! You work directly with individuals to enrich and enhance their daily lives. You operate with compassion providing personalized and attentive support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral health, and healthcare needs.

Support is provided in private residential home settings. You are detail-oriented, organized, and committed to creating a healthy and safe environment that meets individuals' needs.

Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed. Prior experience is preferred by not required -- DSP training is provided. This is a full-time/part-time position. Incumbent must be dependable.

Specific Duties

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and specialized support in daily living
• Provide support and assistance to foster maximum independence of individuals
• Ensure the health, safety and well-being of individuals
• Assist and encourage clients to engage in various activities in the home and community
• Observe clients' behaviors and changes in physical condition and utilize trained strategies to assist the client
• Complete daily shift logs, detailing individual's activities, progress, or problems observed
• Administer medications (as prescribed) and transport individual to appointments, day program or job, etc.
• Assist in housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned
• Adhere to County, State Regulations and Company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)
• DSP I Certification Preferred
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Technology proficiency Preferred
• Successfully pass background check required
