Metropolitan Veterinary Associates (MVA) in Michigan is seeking a Veterinary ICU Technician to join our experienced team providing life-saving care in a high-volume ICU. This full-time role offers a supportive work environment and opportunities to grow.

You will administer treatments, monitor vitals, and collaborate with board-certified Criticalists and emergency veterinarians. The position includes holidays, competitive benefits, and a sign-on bonus; starting pay is $28/hour with a 15% shift

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume emergency or ICU setting (preferred).
• Experience with advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and critical patient stabilization.
• Proficiency in anesthesia, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.
• Strong communication skills to provide empathetic client updates.
• Broad knowledge of small animal medicine.
• Commitment to exceptional client service and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical patient care—administer treatments, monitor vitals, and perform advanced diagnostics in ICU.
• Collaborate with board-certified Criticalists and emergency veterinarians on case plans.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track status and respond quickly to changes.
• Communicate with pet parents, explaining updates with empathy and reassurance.
• Contribute to a culture of learning and teamwork, sharing process improvements.
