Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an ICU Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, specialty hospital team. You will work alongside a skilled group of doctors and technicians delivering advanced critical care to hospitalized pets.

As an ICU Veterinary Technician, you will triage patients, monitor ventilator cases, place IV lines and central catheters, and collaborate closely with the team to restore patients to health and reunite them with their families.

Qualifications

• Must possess unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IV catheters and advanced lines (Jugular, Central, or PICC)
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work alongside skilled technicians and assistants to provide advanced medical care
• Mentor and train other team members
• Help reunite patients with their pet parents after recovery
