Job summary

Arista is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care/ICU team in Jacksonville, FL. You will support veterinarians in delivering advanced care, monitor anesthesia, manage communications with clients, and help manage daily treatment plans and billing.

Candidates should have 3+ years of veterinary experience and be currently licensed where required. The role requires ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts, with lifting up to 50 lbs and handling high-stress

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary professional.
• Experience in both general practice and specialty/ER veterinary medicine preferred.
• When state required, current Veterinary Technician License (must be provided prior to start date).
• Ability to follow directives and plan of care established by the Veterinarian.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent patient care and operational productivity by supporting the Veterinarian.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, catheter placement, and other critical care procedures.
• Record and maintain patient records and client communications accurately.
• Communicate treatment plans and invoices to clients, collecting payments as needed.
• Stock and maintain ventilator and other critical care supplies.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to uphold high standards of care.
• Admit and discharge patients with client education and plan of care.
