Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines is hiring a Critical Care Veterinary Technician for a Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm schedule with some on-call expectations. This full-time role involves triage, CPR initiation, venous access, and ventilator care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work alongside skilled technicians to deliver advanced medicine, mentor colleagues, and help reunite critically ill patients with their families. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
