Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Grinnell, IA. This travel position requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and current ICU-related certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC). As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will evaluate and monitor patients in the ICU, document and provide physician-directed care, and support families regarding care plans and long-term needs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• ICU certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication and report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take lab samples and interpret results.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment and record readings.
• Ensure proper placement of catheters, leads and tubing.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
