Job summary

IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Adult Transplant Intensive Care Unit (TICU) team. You will care for post-abdominal transplant patients, including liver, kidney, pancreas, and multi-visceral recipients, in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

The TICU emphasizes teamwork, interprofessional collaboration, and patient safety, with opportunities for career advancement and preceptor roles.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Indiana RN license or NLC.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: candidates with >2 years acute care experience may be considered subject to CNO review.
• BLS certification required; other life support may be required per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post abdominal transplant patients in TICU.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure high-acuity patient outcomes.
• Monitor hemodynamics and interpret EKGs.
• Administer immunosuppression therapy and CRRT as needed.
• Support patient and family education and care planning.
