Job summary

Medical City Plano in Plano, TX is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse for a 32-week seasonal assignment. The RN will coordinate pre-operative and post-operative care, advocate for patients, and work with providers to ensure a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities include assessing patient status at admission and each shift, documenting care, administering medications, and maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures and equipment.

Qualifications

  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • RN license valid in Texas.
  • Associate degree in nursing required.
  • 1+ year PCU/ICU Stepdown experience preferred.

Job description

Program runs from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027.

$55/HOUR

  • All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
  • Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
  • Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
  • During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
Job Summary And Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

  • 1+ year of PCU/ICU Stepdown experience required
