Job summary

UAB Medicine's 1South ICU in Birmingham, AL, is seeking nurses for part-time day and night shifts (7 to 7). The unit houses 18 beds (1South) and an 11-bed Medical ICU, with strong teamwork and active teaching support for new graduates.

Ideal candidates are graduates entering ICU with BLS/ACLS, an Alabama RN license, and a commitment to coordinated, high-quality patient care. Work location is UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham and comprehensive benefits are provided for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Coordinate care with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and communicate patient status.
