Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in Deland, FL. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications include an RN license, Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred), BLS, and experience in critical care. You will document in the EMR and uphold infection control standards while supporting patient and family

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nursing (RN) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Active RN license in Florida or transfer.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Experience in critical care settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.

Job Description
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

Night Shift

Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Up to $3,000 Relocation Assistance

  • Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
