Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU in Whittier, California. This staff-level, full-time role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced intensive care unit.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in the state, BSN preferred, and meets AH’s certification requirements including BLS/CPR and HLFS. Ongoing education and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• CPR/BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy required.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients per standards and nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of nursing staff and coordinates with other disciplines.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and healthcare team to ensure safe, humane care.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegates duties and coordinates team members as needed.
