The ICU RN role requires CT license, BSN, and BLS, with strong critical thinking and teamwork in a high-stakes setting. ADN/ASN considered in exceptional cases; Graduate Nurse pathways are available.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• BSN required from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
• Minimum one year acute care RN experience strongly preferred.
• ADN/ASN may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
• Graduate Nurses may apply through the Critical Care Graduate Nurse Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care in the Medicine ICU in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, PAs, and RNs to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking and strong communication to guide patient care.
