Job Description Summary

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

Licensure & Certifications

• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, and perform work in various positions including kneeling, bending, twisting, and squatting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted; lift objects from floor to overhead and manage additional weight with assistance as needed.
• Good vision (20/40 corrected), hearing, fine and gross motor skills, and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime as required, in a latex safe environment, and for selected positions use respirator equipment.
