Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Wisconsin to provide comprehensive patient care across units, under the nursing process framework. You will collaborate with the care team, document accurately in EHR, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in computer functions, including email, electronic records, and digital platforms
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently
• Ability to lift and support 35 pounds
• Ability to push/pull with 30 pounds of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch; fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures
• Ability to maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines
• Ability to perform physical safety interventions and verbal de-escalation if needed
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions
• Physical Abilities Testing may be required

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care
• Engage patients and families throughout the continuum of care
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans
• Mobilize resources and collaborate with the care team to influence care outcomes
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety
• Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes and take action as needed
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to protocols and procedures
• Provide effective communication, feedback, conflict resolution, team collaboration, and delegation
• Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications
• Practice according to the ANA Code of Ethics and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care
• Delegate appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation
• Float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area as required
• Provide age-appropriate patient care based on growth and development principles
