Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with ICU experience to join our team in Gulfport, MS. The role requires adherence to the nursing care plan and supervision of support staff, delivering high-quality patient care on a 13-week contract.

Day 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with benefits and onboarding support provided. BLS and ACLS certifications are required prior to the first shift; ICU experience is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience preferred.
• ICU experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient through collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Accountable for accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and assure direct patient care using the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in team-building activities to create a positive work environment.
• Assume charge responsibility after the orientation period as assigned.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
