Job summary
The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 24-hour Day shift in the Critical Care Unit. This role involves planning and delivering evidence-based nursing care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient family education and discharge planning.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.
- One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
- Experience of IV/line placement required. ACLS certified.
- 1 - 3 yr CCU experience required/med-surgical experience
- Registered Nurse, State of CT
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Responsibilities
- Under the general direction of Nursing Leadership, develop a plan of care for a complex patient population.
- Provide evidence-based nursing care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensure patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Demonstrate high reliability and effective communication in a fast-paced unit.
