Job summary

Woodland Heights Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU (PRN) to provide patient-centered care following the nursing process. The role includes coordinating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and continuous education to uphold standards of care. New increased pay rates accompany this important clinical role.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas (or compact state) and active.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions (CPR).
• Documents patient care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
• Collaborates with physicians and the care team to implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
