Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking an RN for the ICU to care for high-acuity patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting in Tampa, FL. This staff nursing role offers 12-hour shifts with a 36-hour work week and requires ACLS/BLS, Florida RN license, and 2+ years in critical care.

The Clinical Resources Float Team supports staffing across units, with opportunities to practice across diverse service lines while maintaining regulatory compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida or Compact State.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Minimum two years in a critical care setting.
• Experience in high-acuity, trauma, or emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity patients across lifespan.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document in EHR.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Respond to emergent and trauma-related situations prioritizing safety.
• Maintain infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to multiple areas as needed.
