Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role includes providing clinical care as needed during census fluctuations and communicating patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader.

The nurse serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to staff, collaborates with the care team, and supports safe, evidence-based practice during the shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• BCLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required.
• NRP by end of orientation period required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months required.
• PEARS Certification required.
• PALS if unit serves pediatric patients required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and operational issues during the shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Education

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
