Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our patient care team. The RN will deliver direct nursing care using the nursing process, assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes in a fast-paced academic health system in Orange County.

The role requires a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least six months of nursing experience in acute care. External candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher; acute care or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN License required.
• Current BLS Provider required.
• Current ACLS Provider required.
• Minimum six (6) months nursing experience.
• External candidates must have Bachelor's Degree in nursing or above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
• Float to other areas with orientation and competency validation.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate care plans with patients and families.
• Safely administer medications and IVs according to hospital policy.
• Participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds and collaborate with the care team.
